I am Dr. Tanya Roxanne Clarke and I take pride in being a pioneering physician who graduated as the first woman and the second person from the University of the West Indies Medical School in 1998. My medical journey continued with a rigorous residency at Cleveland Clinic, completed in 2005, where I specialized in internal medicine. I am board certified and continually recertified, underscoring my commitment to excellence in medical practice.My passion extends beyond clinical care to patient education, as I firmly believe in empowering patients with knowledge to actively participate in their healthcare decisions. My approach to medicine is characterized by diligence, hard work, and a compassionate commitment to patient care, which guides me in every interaction and decision.Aside from my clinical responsibilities, I am deeply involved in the community as the president of the South Florida Caribbean Doctors Association and the University of the West Indies Medical Alumni Association. Through these roles, I strive to connect medical professionals and promote health initiatives that benefit our community at large.As a respected figure in both the medical and Caribbean communities in South Florida, I am dedicated to improving patient care and community health, making a significant impact through my professional endeavors and leadership.
